Objectives: - To understand the notion of space in architecture. - To develop skills in visualizing of space through observation and perception of a given site - To develop skills in sketching as a mode of communication. - To understand the notion detailing’s in architecture and objects. - To develop skills in communicating the above in various tonal and depth values. - To develop various techniques of hatching through different medium. Tasks: Part A - Utilize given images of furniture and and selected building, produce orthographic drawings of the furniture (studio table) and the building (Cooper residence by Charles Gwathmey architect). 4 plan, 1 site plan, 4 elevation and 2 section drawings. Produce a study model of the building too. Drawings of furniture follow scale 1:10 while drawings and study model of the building follows scale 1:100. Part B - Using produced orthographic drawings and study model to produce exploded-axonometric drawing of the building. Scale 1:100. Part C - Using produced orthographic drawings to produce an exterior two-point perspective and a sectional interior one-point perspective drawing. |
